The Mayku Care Mask is a collaboration between Mayku, the Royal Academy of Engineering and the University of Leeds, with further support from various other organizations. The project was designed in response to 2020's Covid-19 pandemic to help provide a more accessible, top-quality PPE option globally.

When assembled with Separet 2402 as the filter material, the Mayku Care Mask meets the requirements of type I, type II and type IIR medical masks. As such the Mayku Care Mask meets the standard required for use as a medical mask in the UK and EU.

The Mayku Care Mask is currently in further testing with a high probability that it will meet the required standard for a P2 respirator (FFP2/N95 equivalent). We should have an update on this in September 2020.

Pending CE certification, the process of submitting the product for testing globally should be simplified upon close adherence to the manufacturing guidelines.
