Before you begin

Ensure you read this article throughly before beginning work, if you are not confident that you can complete the steps involved, please send the unit to us and we will replace your FormBox for you.

• Ensure the FormBox is disconnected from the mains power supply.
• Disconnect the vacuum cleaner if you have one plugged into the vacuum cleaner socket.
• Clear a stable work space space to disassemble the FormBox.
• You will need a 2mm Hex key or screwdriver.

Remove the top case

Remove the screws that hold the top case in place. They are indicated in yellow on this diagram:

Check the cooling fan cables

There are two cooling fans in the top case, they are positioned at the back of the machine on either side. The connecting cables should be securely attached. Be careful when lifting the top case as this will put tension on the cables.

The inside of your top case should look like this:

Reconnect your cooling fan(s) if necessary

If either of your FormBox cooling fans are disconnected, carefully reconnect them. Ensure the connector is the right way around.
